There's something about doing it yourself crafts that makes me all giddy inside. Last weekend I went to Michael's, bought a wooden frame, acrylic black paint and some stickers, and made my very own first picture frame!
The materials:
As seen in the below picture,
Black Acrylic Paint in glossy, blank wooden frame, paint holder, & brushes.
First, I used the Michael's bag as a protective cover. Then, I prepped the frame by wiping down with a cloth (just in case of any wooden particles left over from the maker). Next, I filled the paint palette with the black acrylic paint. I then mixed the paint with the sponge brush and painted the frame from left to right on both sides and all corners of the frames.
NOTE: Paint the frame while being careful that the acrylic paint does not dry up!
Ta-DA! The final product, which I hanged on the wall by the entrance of my apartment aka foyer.
To a meaningful life & a long lasting L♥VE!
cheers!

Oh Summer, How I Miss Thee!
Summer, where art thou? How I miss thee... Single digits temperatures in the US and it feels like forever since we had temperatures in the 80's.. As a tribute to this cold weather sweet sweet memories of my last time at the one and only Central Park in my hometown.. NYC ♥

Three Weeks & Flowers from Recycled Plastic Bottles
It has been three weeks since my last post! I had sort of writer's block. Saturday, I went to a Flower Making Workshop and I learned how to make flowers out of empty plastic bottles.
You like? The instructions on how to make one are not that lengthy. Below I have provided what is needed for the DIY project.
What you will need:
- an empty soda/water bottle
- acrylic paint
- scissors
- paint brushes
- metal wires or could use metal hangers
Prep:
Wash and rinse all water bottles before any usage. Let dry for a couple of hours or use wash cloth.
Soon I will update with pics of the diy project. Until then you could drop me a message for the instructions on how to make them.
What do you do with your empty soda/water bottles?
p.s sorry for the lighting in the pics!

Oh Let it Snow...
Snow day in Hudson Heights! Called in to work and was told there would be no work today! YaY! So happy because I get to stay in and start my new blog! First off, I am new to this blogging site. Besides having a Myspace blog and writing once in a blue moon. This one would be my first actual one in YEARS.
So to start this off.. I am a huge reading fan. I love to read a good book. Currently I am reading:
I have yet to see the movie. But in my opinion books are way much more interesting than the movies. Once a book is made into a movie it becomes a rather impersonal experience. The book takes you to a whole dimension similar to Lord of the Rings Trilogy (one of my faves). In a negative sense, it is vastly explicit. Very suitable for a mature reader. I found myself reading in the subway and felt a bit uncomfortable as if everyone else knew what I was reading about. NYC Train rides are interesting, but I will just leave that for a future blog. And with that said, I will be heading back to my most interesting book of about 600 pages!
Cheers!
